Welcome to How To DressApp. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. About the Service

How To DressApp provides AI-generated clothing recommendations based on historical and forecast weather data for a location and date range you choose. The app is operated by an independent developer.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use this app (or 16 years old if you are in the European Economic Area). By using the app, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. The app is available for iOS and Android.

3. AI-Generated Recommendations

Recommendations are informational only. Clothing suggestions are generated by an AI model (Google Gemini) based on historical weather patterns and are not a guarantee of actual weather conditions. Always use your own judgment when dressing for specific activities, weather events, or health conditions.

Specifically, we do not accept liability for:

  • Inaccurate or incomplete weather data from third-party providers
  • AI-generated suggestions that are unsuitable for your specific needs, health condition, or preferences
  • Any harm, injury, or loss arising from reliance on app recommendations

4. Permitted Use

You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app
  • Use the app to transmit spam, malware, or any harmful content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers or systems
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to make requests to our API
  • Resell or sublicense access to the app or its content

5. Subscription and Billing

How To DressApp offers a Premium subscription that removes ads. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your device.

  • Pricing: The current price is displayed in the app before purchase. Prices may vary by region and are set by the respective store platform.
  • Billing cycle: Subscriptions are billed monthly and automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Cancellation: Cancel anytime through your Apple ID or Google account subscription settings. Access continues until the end of the billing period.
  • Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies.
  • Restore Purchases: If you reinstall the app or switch devices, use Settings → Plan → Restore Purchases to recover your subscription.
  • Free tiers: The Standard and Basic plans are free and supported by advertising. You can switch plans at any time in Settings.

6. Free Plans and Advertising

The Standard and Basic plans are provided free of charge in exchange for showing ads:

  • Standard: Personalized ads with your consent (as per our Privacy Policy)
  • Basic: Non-personalized, anonymous ads — no consent required

Ad content is provided by Google AdMob. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and branding in How To DressApp — including the logo, name, and UI — are owned by or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

AI-generated recommendation text is produced dynamically and is not subject to copyright in most jurisdictions. You are free to use the recommendations for personal purposes.

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that weather data and AI recommendations will be accurate or complete. Use the app at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or personal injury. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

These Terms are governed by applicable laws. If you have a dispute with us, we encourage you to contact us first at hello@howtodressapp.com so we can try to resolve it informally.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when changes were last made.
